Fall 2015 Internship
Seeking 3 interns. 1 intern for the Raleigh Boys Club, Raleigh Girls Club, and Washington Boys & Girls Club.
Observe and participate in academic intervention programming efforts at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County. Intern will work one-on-one and in small groups with members in Project Power Play, an academic intervention program that builds and reinforces the skills and material learned in Wake County Classrooms to be a successful student. The intern will assist in strengthening all academic areas, especially those are at risk of failure. The intern will monitor homework and class work completion and quality, and will follow an afterschool design model tailored to the student. The intern is required to keep a daily attendance and a log of each meeting with the children. The intern will communicate with the academic intervention manager and also meet once monthly with the academic intervention manager for updates/progress notes and to communicate with the interns.
