The 9th Breakfast of Champions presented by Wells Fargo will be held October 26, 2011 at the Raleigh Convention Center beginning at 7:30 a.m.  The featured speaker will be Mark Gottfried, NC State’s Men’s Basketball Coach.  The Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame will induct Prentiss Baker, Chairman of Baker Roofing.

The Breakfast of Champions is the Boys & Girls Clubs signature special event that has given our Wake County’s corporate community and the Boys & Girls Clubs past presidents an opportunity to join together to support the organization. Over the past eight  years the Breakfast of Champions has netted over half a million dollars to support Boys & Girls Clubs programs and attracted approximately 600 people every year.

Individuals and corporations sponsor tables at the breakfast that includes a keynote address from a professional athlete/coach and the induction of several individuals into the Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame. Past key note speakers include Portland Trailblazer Coach Nate McMillan, former Hurricane player Kevin Weeks, the late NCSU Women’s Basketball Coach Kay Yow, UNC Men’s Basketball Coach Roy Williams, NCSU Men’s Basketball Coach Sidney Lowe, former Head Coach of the Carolina Hurricanes Peter Laviolette and most recently NCSU’s Women’s Basketball Coach Kelly Harper and the Voice of the Tar Heels, Woody Durham.
