Three siblings who are members of one of our area Clubs have had to overcome a lifetime of obstacles that many of us could not imagine facing during grade school. Their mother passed away when they were in elementary school. Their father, was recently arrested and charged with first-degree sex offense with a child, first-degree rape and indecent liberties with a child- including one of his own daughters. The kids’ maternal grandmother, gained full custody of them earlier in the year and brought them to Boys & Girls Clubs. There has been a night and day transformation in all three teens’ attitude, behavior, and work ethic. They all made honor roll, for the first time (that’s all three are on honor roll at the same time) in years and have gotten on the path for a great future!
