Lesha W, 14 years old, 6 year member of the Raleigh Girls Club. Lesha was doing terrible in school and excelling on the athletic field. She is a good kid. We started a program at RGC called Junior Staff and she wanted to be involved, but Junior staff had certain criteria that they had to fill…like having a B average or better. We worked with Lesha and her teacher’s to help her improve her grades…she has now been a junior staff for 2 years and has been on the A/B Honor roll ever since. Lesha is still involved in the club and the different activities around the club.
Lesha’s story is a great example of how Boys & Girls Clubs priority programming areas all come together to set up our Club members for a Great Future!
