Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County is honored to be among the winners of the Renovation Across the Nation, a grant from Lowe’s supporting Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. Locally, we are even more honored to be a recipient of this grant since only one Club per state is awarded the $50,000 for critical repairs, improvements and refurbishments. Nationally Lowe’s support totals $2.5 million.
We will break ground soon with the help of our Lowe’s Heroes volunteers at our local Lowe’s. These volunteers will play a critical role in sourcing materials and helping to get work.
These funds will be used to enhance the Raleigh Girls Club. Ultimately, this will make the Club more attractive allowing the organization to recruit and serve more girls, more often in South East Raleigh.
For more information on Renovation Across the Nation, and a list of Clubs around the country that will join ours in this project, see the full press release here: http://media.lowes.com/pressrelease/lowesandboysgirlsclubsofamericabuildprideat50clubsin50statesthrough25mrenovationacrossthenation/
