The Boys & Girls Clubs has been awarded the “Kids ‘N Community Grant” from the Carolina Hurricanes. This three year grant will allow the Boys & Girls Clubs to start a new program which targets the most academically challenged younger Club Members. Because of this grant, the Boys & Girls Clubs are able to hire an Academic Intervention Manager who is providing focused academic support for those kids at greatest risk of dropping out. The Carolina Hurricanes also support our Capital City Crew ice hockey team which gives Club Members a chance to learn skills, interact with Hurricanes players and experience ice time at PNC arena.
