Caring Mentors
According to the Afterschool Alliance, North Carolina afterschool programs provide expanded learning opportunities to 192,548 students and are a lifeline for working families. In North Carolina, 85% of parents report that all young people deserve access to quality afterschool and summer programs. Yet, too many kids in North Carolina are being left out. In fact, for every child in an afterschool program in NC, 3 more would participate if a program were available.
Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County is addressing this need in North Carolina. They provide a safe space for youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Through innovative afterschool programming and full-day summer programming, Boys & Girls Clubs members are afforded opportunities to thrive, even through the most challenging of situations. You can be an ally to this Movement by supporting the Great Futures Campaign. Because every child deserves a chance at a Great Future.

These programs allow young people to continue to learn, build character through leadership activities, stay healthy through regular fitness and good nutrition, and most importantly, build relationships with adult role models who truly care.
The Clubs purposely keep dues low ($7.50 per year) so that all young people will have the opportunity to join the Clubs. The $7.50 membership fee juxtaposes an estimated $750 per year to provide Club services to one member. The Clubs rely on the support of donors to make this work.
You can help create this opportunity for young people by making a financial contribution to Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County in 2023. Please consider a gift to the Great Futures Campaign. Your investment will be used to help Wake County kids develop confidence and hope, and most importantly, a Great Future.

I joined this cause because I want to help create Great Futures for young people in our community, like Boys & Girls Clubs alumnus Errol Sewell. Errol went on to change thousands of lives in his decades-long career with the Boys & Girls Clubs.
