It’s a race for runners and non-runners. It’s a first 5K for many. It’s a family tradition.

Why do we wake up early on Thanksgiving morning to run? Not only is it a great way to make room for turkey, but all of the proceeds from Gobbler’s Run goes to the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club. The Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club has been a staple in the community since 1998. Today, they serve 1,100 children. The Gobbler’s Run 5k race attracts over 2,000 participants each year and has generated over $300,000, helping to provide a safe place for kids in Wake Forest after school and during the summer.

Race begins at 8:00am on Thanksgiving morning.
