Justin Craig Williams is a former professional ice hockey right winger. He played in the NHL for the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings, and Washington Capitals. Williams won the Stanley Cup three times: in 2006 with the Hurricanes and in 2012 and 2014 with the Kings. Nicknamed “Mr. Game 7”, Williams played nine game-seven playoff games in his NHL career, with his team sporting a 8–1 record in these games. Williams won the Conn Smythe Trophy as most valuable player of the playoffs in 2014 with the Kings. In 2017, Williams returned to the Hurricanes and in 2018 was named team captain. In 2020, Williams announced his retirement from professional hockey after a 19-season NHL career, and was hired as a “special advisor” to Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell. Williams is the grandnephew of Jerry Toppazzini, a forward who played 12 seasons in the NHL. Williams and his wife, Kelly, have two children and reside in Cary, NC
